CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world.
This year it is CISV University, and the entire National Mini Camp Committee is excited to learn with you all!
Every Memorial Day weekend, JB USA hosts the National Mini Camp, which brings together CISVers from all over the USA. This year’s NMC will be a weekend chock full of activities planned by the National Mini Camp Committee and hosted in Detroit, Michigan.
This weekend brings together JBers from JB USA to participate in fun, educational activities that celebrate the CISV philosophy, make you think, wonder, and grow! and provide an opportunity for youth to have fun and build friendships. NMC is open to all JBers, age 11-25. The activities will be structured around our four educational content areas: sustainable development, diversity, conflict and resolution, and human rights.
At this time, we are trying to garner interest from both our Brandywine Valley and Philadelphia chapters on how many JBers would like to attend, and which adults from our chapters are able to chaperone.
We need one chaperone for every 6 JBers.
We will try to book flights on April 16, 2019, so the kids can travel to and from with the chaperone. CISV USA discourages bus travel when trips are over 7 hours.
Download the Pre-Camp here for information of camp logistics, packing lists and committee members.
The cost for the camp is $180.00; chaperones are free.
NMC T-shirts are $15.
Thank you!
